My name is Carla Florim, I was born in Porto in 1995 and I am a passionate plant-based chef dedicated to creating nourishing, flavorful dishes that celebrate nature's abundance, cherish memories and connect everyone at the table.
Over the past eight years I worked in commercial kitchens across different international settings. I worked as a chef in Berlin, Porto, Mértola and I worked as a volunteer in a vegan bakery in Tel Aviv back in 2017. My experience includes working as a chef in fast-paced environments, catering for retreats and events, organizing pop-up dinners, developing high-standard recipes and providing cooking classes. Since the very beginning of my career I focused on specializing in vegan, gluten-free and sugar free foods with a seasonal, sustainable approach - keeping it real has been my motto.
Currently I live in Coimbra, central region of Portugal and I work solely as a retreat chef across different locations, including Madeira island with Adventure Yogi. As a retreat chef I design and create different menus to accommodate various dietary requirements, without compromising flavor, and I present high-standard, vibrant, nourishing dishes that celebrate life.
